Fredrik is a Partner in Stanhope Capital’s Merchant Banking team.
He brings 25 years of experience in corporate strategy and capital markets to his role, where he focuses on advising established and growing businesses as a generalist across a wide range of sectors including energy transition, technology, financial services, etc. With his capital markets background Fredrik enjoys a strong network with investors from private equity, sovereign wealth funds, private credit, hedge funds and family offices.
Before joining Stanhope Capital in 2020, Fredrik held leadership positions across investment banking and asset management. He served as Head of Markets at SEB, overseeing equities, fixed income, FX, and commodities in the UK. His background includes Global Macro and European Equities portfolio management in the hedge fund industry, including as co-founder of an FCA regulated institutional hedge fund platform, as well as senior European Equity Trading positions at Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers, and Deutsche Bank. He started out as an Equity Analyst whilst undertaking his academic studies.
Fredrik graduated from the University of Bath School of Management with a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration and speaks fluent English and Norwegian. He also attended the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce, USA, as an exchange student.
