Daniel Pinto

Daniel Pinto is Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive and Founding Partner of Stanhope Capital.

Daniel chairs the group’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. He has considerable experience in wealth management and merchant banking having advised prominent families, entrepreneurs, corporations, and governments for over 25 years. Formerly Senior Banker at UBS Warburg in London and Paris concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, he was a member of the firm’s executive committee in France. He was also Chief Executive of a private equity fund backed by CVC Capital Partners.

Daniel founded the New City Initiative, a think tank comprised of the leading independent UK and European investment management firms. He sits on several prominent investment committees and boards including Chateau Margaux and S4 Capital Plc, the London listed digital media and advertising group.

Daniel regularly contributes economic and financial editorials to leading newspapers. He is the author of ‘Capital Wars’ a book published by Bloomsbury in early 2014 (‘le Choc des Capitalismes’, Odile Jacob, 2013). His book won the prestigious Prix Turgot (“Prix du Jury”) and the HEC/Manpower Foundation prize.

Daniel holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MSc in Finance from Université Paris-Dauphine.
